Are you looking for a new vacation spot to keep you and your family happy for the next few years? Well you could do little better than Baja California Sur’s premier tourist destination – Los Cabos has dual appeal as an area of two distinct halves. For the culture and arts lovers who want a calm yet stimulating vacation in quaint and pretty surroundings there is San Jose del Cabo. And for those who would prefer a lively, vibrant taste of the Mexican nightlife there is the luxurious and exciting Cabo San Lucas.

Los Cabos – 2 in 1

Los Cabos can be found in an area of Baja California known to North Americans as ‘Land’s End’ – this is the very tip of the Baja peninsula which can be found south of California and will be pretty recognizable to those who have been to California. This area has been heavily influenced by North America in terms of shopping malls and real estate developments. One thing that is entirely unique to this part of the world, however, is the landscape. Here the desert meets the mountains and the sparkling Sea of Cortez. If there is a more beautiful backdrop for your vacation we have yet to be made aware of it.

If we were to be particular about the layout we would note three areas to Los Cabos rather than two; firstly there is San Jose del Cabo, secondly a stretch of highway known as ‘the corridor’, and thirdly (on the other side of the corridor) there is Cabo San Lucas.

San Jose Del Cabo

San Jose del Cabo is a serene and traditional, boasting a shady main square, narrow streets and colonial buildings which complement the relaxed and authentically Mexican vibe. Strolling amongst the streets with a Hibiscus popsicle, enjoying a frozen Margarita in an Al Fresco restaurant, or wandering in and out of the town’s art galleries and boutiques – no matter what you do in San Jose del Cabo you can be sure you’ll have a wonderful time.

Cabo San Lucas

Cabo San Lucas, however, is one of the most luxurious tourist destinations in Mexico. If you are after championship standard Golf courses, five star resorts and luxurious spas then this is the town for you. The water sports at Medano beach are particularly great!
