Go Swimming in the Crystal-Clear Ocean Waters

One of the best ways that you can stay cool in Puerto Vallarta during the warm summer months is by going swimming in the crystal-clear ocean waters. Vacationers and locals love to visit the miles of beautiful beaches in Puerto Vallarta, and swimming in the crystal-clear ocean waters will keep your body cool and refresh your soul and spirit at the same time. Los Muertos Beach, which is located in Old Town close to the pier, is a hot spot to visit where there is plenty of action going on at all hours. Visitors can lounge at one of the many beachfront restaurants or go for a swim in the ocean. Visitors can eat lunch and drink a cold cocktail while they take in the incredible beauty of Banderas Bay. Do you have relaxation in the brain? If so, Conchas Chinas Beach is perfect if you want a quieter beach. This beach is located on the southern edge of town and has one of the area’s prettiest beaches. Conchas Chinas Beach doesn’t have many restaurants, so you will want to bring a picnic lunch, blanket, chairs, and an umbrella to shade you. If you have always wanted to ride horses on the beach, then you can do that just north of PV in Bucerias. This is a charming and quiet beachfront town where you can ride a horse on the beach at an affordable price.

Take a Hike to the Amazing Waterfalls and Swimming Holes

There are numerous wonderful places to go hiking in Puerto Vallarta, and many of the hikes lead to amazing swimming holes and even breathtaking waterfalls. During the winter and spring months, the rivers get quite dry, but once summer arrives, the much-needed rain comes and the rivers and swimming holes are replenished yet again. Are you an adventurous person who craves nature, and likes to get off the beaten track? If you are, then a hike at Palo Maria is the place where you should visit. Palo Maria is conveniently located just south of Puerto Vallarta across the street from the famous Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa. If you want to keep hiking, then you should head inland where you can go diving or simply float with ease at the waterfall and swimming holes there. You can also visit Chico’s Paradise that is located a half-hour south of downtown Puerto Vallarta if you don’t mind driving a bit further.
